Kentucky Wildcats Resolutions for UK-2K-15
Going into the 2015 year there are many things that are more than likely on your list. This is the year that you are finally going to commit to that diet plan, or how about the old cliche “I am quitting” whatever habit it is that has daunted you. For this years Kentucky team, there are not many things that can be pin pointed out as flaws. However, if there was something that had to be fixed I am sure die hard Kentucky fans could make a list…
1. Andrew Harrison’s Demeanor
Everyone’s favorite current Kentucky player to criticize had his worst game right before the New Year. Great for the team but harmful to personal morale, Harrison’s back up is a 5 foot 9 stud who had his best game against the Cat’s biggest foe Louisville. Coach John Calipari got on his starting point guard when he pre-maturely left the team huddle in the game last Saturday. In 2015 the Wildcats would love to have the confident point guard who lead’s his team and makes the right play, not the fancy play. Give us the 6 foot 6 guard who muscles to the hole using his body against a speedy Fred VanVleet to knock off an undefeated Wichita State. Remind us why the Big Blue Nation believed in you after a NIT year to save us with penetration into the paint and lobs to Cauley-Stein or a dish out to brother Aaron for deep three. Give us this Andrew Harrison.

2. Defensive Rebounding
Sorry to get your hopes up Big Blue, but a return in this season from Junior forward Alex Poythress is an unattainable goal to put on your list this season. Although an improvement in the offense has been reached with the addition of the 15- foot shooting Trey Lyles, the gap of defensive rebounding is something that has been missed. Poythress was the one guy on the team who you could depend on to sky for that rebound that would seal the game for his team. Coming into the season with this teams size, rebounding looked to be the last worry on their list. With that being said, defensive rebounding will be a focus for the team heading into the SEC portion of their schedule.

3. Keep smiling
My personal favorite thing about Kentucky Basketball is just seeing the smile on each of the player’s faces and playing for each other on and off the court. Going into the SEC undefeated puts a target on Kentucky’s back the size of Texas. Like Coach Calipari stated before, The Cats are everyone’s SuperBowl and teams play out of their minds against Big Blue. True road games against sold out crowds wanting nothing more than to rush the court after taking down the number one team is daunting to think about for most players. If the players can do as Aaron Rodgers said and just “stay calm”, the wins will keep coming.
