Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: UK Women to Host Recruits for Madness
Friday night’s Big Blue Madness for the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team is set to be a night to remember. Not only for the players and fans, but also for the UK basketball recruits that will be in attendance.
UK men’s head basketball coach John Calipari has a star-studded set of highly touted, five-star recruits arranged to be in attendance for BBM. UK women’s head basketball coach Matthew Mitchell has an impressive guest list of recruits as well.
A total of 10 UK women’s recruits will be at Rupp Arena for BBM. Two will be there on official visits, while the other eight will be there on unofficial visits.
Here is a breakdown for each UK women’s recruit that will be at BBM:
OFFICIAL VISITS:
Maci Morris – Morris is in the Class of 2015 and verbally committed to UK last September. She is from Pineville, Kentucky and attends Bell County High School. She is a 6’0″ guard and is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 13 guard and as the No. 62 overall player in the Class of 2015.
Morgan Rich – Rich is in the Class of 2015 and verbally committed to UK this past May. She is from Scottsville, Kentucky and attends Allen County-Scottsville High School. She is a 5’10” point guard and is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 30 point guard and as the No. 97 overall player in the Class of 2015.
UNOFFICIAL VISITS:
Taylor Murray – Murray is UK’s top commitment so far for the Class of 2015. She is from Odenton, Maryland and attends Annapolis Area Christian School. She is a 5’6″ point guard and is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 18 point guard and as the No. 58 overall player in the Class of 2015.
Lindsey Corsaro – Corsaro is in the Class of 2016 and committed to UK this past May. She is from Indianapolis, Indiana and attends Roncalli High School. She is a 6’0″ guard and is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 8 guard and as the No. 28 overall player in the Class of 2015.
Sydney Shelton – Shelton is also in the Class of 2016 and committed to UK in May. She is from Fortville, Indiana and attends Mount Vernon High School. She is a 5’8″ guard and is ranked as a top-30 junior in the country.
Tyasha Harris – Harris is in the Class of 2016 and is currently undeclared. She is from Noblesville, Indiana and attends Heritage Christian School. She is a 5’8″ guard and is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 9 guard and as the No. 38 overall player in the Class of 2016.
Krystaline McCune – McCune is in the Class of 2016 and is undeclared. She is from Louisville, Kentucky and attends DuPont Manual High School. She is a 6’4″ post player and is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 10 post player and as the No. 59 overall player in the Class of 2016.
Felicia Aiyeotan – Aiyeotan is in the Class of 2016 and is undeclared. She is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attends Saint John Neumann High School. She is a 6’9″ post player and is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 8 post player and as the No. 46 overall player in the Class of 2016.
Tyra Johnson – Johnson is in the Class of 2016. She is a 5’7″ point guard from Alabama and is ranked as the No. 45 overall prospects in the Class of 2016 by ProspectsNation.com.
Mikayla Coombs – Coombs is in the Class of 2017 and is undeclared. She is from Norcross, Georgia and attends Wesleyan School. She is a 5’8″ guard and is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit. She is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 4 guard and as the No. 11 overall player in the Class of 2017.
