Up next: Georgia in Athens
The Commodores just couldn’t get it done in Lexington. They scored exactly zero offensive points but Darrius Smith did return his Patrick Towles interception 13 yards for a touchdown to tie the game early. Unfortunate for Vandy- their special teams and defense has put more points up than their offense…and that’s a problem. While they did force three Kentucky turnovers- Gurley and the Dawgs will be rough for them between the hedges. Commodores fans better hope Patton Robinette is back in action this weekend- true freshman QB Wade Freebeck was 8-25 passing with only 85 yards and three interceptions. The Dores finished with just 54 yards on the ground- ouch.
