Showing up for a free spring game is great. Being super active on social media is even better. The emergence of the Kentucky fans as a true weapon has been emphasized since Stoops’ arrival, but we’re at a crossroads now.
Like, literally, tomorrow at noon.
Everything is in place and the stage is set. The Wildcats will take the field as favorites over not just a conference rival, but also one in their division. Coach Stoops will bring in one of the most talented football teams to don the blue and white in decades. A team that isn’t scared of anyone or playing anywhere. A team that fights to the end and even past the end when the rest of the country says they have no chance. They will be led by a quarterback that should have transferred, that was overrated, that was a bust, but suddenly overcame to be a team strength.
The athletic department has started building the new top of the line stadium. They’ve put the money into the program and into the advertising. The word is out that Kentucky Football is legitimate again. Now they have even lowered remaining ticket prices down to $20.00 for RESERVED SEATS.
Even the SEC has unknowingly done it’s part. The Eastern division is as down as it may ever be. Georgia is good, but beatable. Florida is obviously beatable. South Carolina is a huge conundrum. Tennessee isn’t there yet. Missouri looks like they’ve come back down to earth. Vandy is a dumpster fire. There may have NEVER been a better time to jump up the ladder in the conference.
Now it’s your turn.
