I was surprised they narrowly escaped a loss at K State, but K State is also a top-20 opponent (don’t get me started). They have had a pretty decent schedule thus far, starting the season by taking down a conference team by 20, a blow out against San Jose State and Thursday’s game against the Wildcats. Their JUCO transfer receiver, D’ haquille Williams had 8 catches for 111 yards and one TD. Their defense allowed just 285 total yards and they forced three turnovers. It doesn’t hurt that K State also missed three field goal attempts. They’ll get a little extra prep time before Louisiana State comes to town Saturday, but their biggest test is the game after that against LSU. Auburn looks good but I’m not convinced just yet.
