“We’re just trying to do our job, everybody take one play at a time. And if we do that good things will happen.”

Josh on the team being more physical this year…
“Yeah I think so. One of the biggest emphasis in practice is being more physical and everyone winning their one-on-ones and things like that.”

#14 Patrick Towles, QB

Patrick on getting a lot of carries this game…
“We talked about it this past week, we felt like this is a game where I could do that a lot more. There was some plays that didn’t go as well as we would have liked so I just tried to make the best with what was handed to us.”

Patrick on what happened to the offense after the first couple of TDs…
“We took it down on the first drive (of the second half) and I just got sacked. We were moving the ball all day long, but if you don’t finish that can really hurt us. There were some plays that we should have finished but those are just things that we need to work on and we will do our best in practice to correct them.”

Patrick on being 2 and 0…
“That is exactly right, not to take anything away from that we got a big game next week. We will celebrate this one tonight, but we will get back to work tomorrow and get ready for Florida.”

#18 Stanley “Boom” Williams, RB

Stanley on the game next week against Florida…
“Florida is a really good team and so are we, so it should be a good game. Hostile environment that we are going to. Just like coach said, we have to comeback next week and really prepare, Thursday and Friday are the days that we really want to slow it down a little bit and really focus on Fundamentals.”

Stanley on his big run…
“Yeah, I kind of was able to see the hole. Coach told me to be really disciplined with my runs and follow my blockers and that is what I was really trying to do. Obviously, it worked out for me which I was very happy about.”

 #1 Ryan Timmons, WR

On Kentucky’s execution in the red zone …

“We went into the red zone about four times and didn’t get a touchdown. It hurts leaving points up there on the board. We just need to watch film more and try to execute in the end zone.”

On why he was able to have a career day …

“Coach Brown did a great job calling plays, and the way we were playing, it was easy for us to pass, with me and Patrick (Towles).”

On whether or not he knew he had 10 catches …

“No, I didn’t (know). I mean, that’s a pretty good day. I wish I had more (catches), I know I could have played better.”

#2 Dorian Baker, WR

 On his first touchdown …

“It was a great feeling. It was just like, ‘dang, I didn’t even hit the end zone.’ But then when I saw the ref put his hands up, I’m like, ‘wow.’ I already scored my first touchdown in Commonwealth Stadium.”

On his block …

“I’m going out for a pass, thinking I’m about to get the ball. I see Patrick (Towles) taking off across the line of scrimmage, and a linebacker in pursuit. I said, ‘Oh, I’m about to take his head off.’”

On his relationship with Patrick Towles …

“We definitely have a good relationship. When we go through our progressions in practice, he and I always work together. We let each other know what the corners are doing. ”

#2 Alvin “Bud” Dupree, DE

 On his cramps …

“That cramp was horrible. I cramped a couple times last year, too. I have to get more water than I really need.”

On today’s performance …

“I think I played well today. I got a lot more holding calls. But it’s good, we got a win. That’s all that matters.”

On opening the season with consecutive victories …

“It feels great. It gives us a lot more confidence to go play Florida this week in The Swamp. It’s going to be a big game. We have a whole week of preparation to get ready for it. We just have to go out every day this week and prepare for it.”
