Earlier in the week Mark Stoops caught a little heat or created a mini stir if you will when he elected not to attend the Governor’s Cup Luncheon. Some said he broke tradition. Those saying this failed to realize that the game between Kentucky and Louisville has also been moved from its traditional early part of the schedule to now being the season finale.
However there is one event that Coach Stoops will definitely be on hand for. It’s the Coaches For the Kids Guy’s Night Out on Saturday July 26 at 6 pm. If you’ve listened to 630 AM WLAP in Lexington then you’ve probably heard Ryan Lemond promoting the event.
The event benefits the Kentucky Children’s Hospital and will be held at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington. There will be bourbon (naturally), cigars, a steak dinner and auction items. The guys not only get to hang out with Coach Stoops, they get to meet the entire staff as well.
It’s going to be a fun evening fellas. If you’re in and around Lexington and are able to grab a ticket, be sure to do it.
