9.) National Signing Day

It’s never a dull day when college football offices around the country fire up those fax machines and the National Letters of Intent start rolling in, but this year was especially exciting in Lexington. Bringing the top football class to Lexington to date, Mark Stoops inked 21 signees, 5 early enrollees and 2 JUCO transfers to play for the Cats including highly touted QB Drew Barker and DT Matt Elam. They finished #20 on the 247sports rankings and #9 in the SEC. Look’s like Calipari isn’t the only recruiter in this town.

8.) Men’s tennis takes down #1 OSU

Defeating the #1 for only the 4th time in program history (and first time since ’97), the Cats took down the #1 Buckeyes on April 9th at home. When they got to doubles, the Cats were in trouble- but after 2 straight wins they took off and took the come from behind victory.
