With the Randle decision, Kentucky is has one scholarship free for the 2014-15 season. There has been some rumors that Derek Willis may transfer just due to the crowded nature of UK’s front court, which would be more of a hood problem should Johnson return. Willis’s high school coach, Troy Barr, puts to rest any transfer talk.

"“I spoke with his father [Monday] night and the only thing we talked about was Derek playing at Kentucky next year,” Barr said. “There have been no discussions regarding anything but him playing at Kentucky.” Barr says Willis “knew what he was getting into” signing with Kentucky out of Mount Washington (Ky.) Bullitt East. “We talked before he left and he knew it was going to be a struggle,” Barr said. “It is for most freshmen.” Barr readily admits that there were times when Willis, who averaged 2.8 minutes per game, became frustrated with his playing time last season. “I think Derek got frustrated as most freshmen do,” Barr said. “But the practices I went to, it’s not like he didn’t belong. I think it was just a lack of strength and confidence. I think he was humbled this year and he has a little bit of an attitude about it.” At 6-foot-9 and only 205 pounds, Barr says strength is, and always has been, Willis’s biggest obstacle to becoming a major contributor."

I really don’t get why some people give so much credibility to sports radio talkers. They have an insane amount of time to fill and face it, they aren’t great interviewers like Howard Stern, so they have to cause drama and troll to fill their shows. Such is the case with Colin Cowherd who is obsessed with John Wall and apparently his dancing. Anyone who has followed Wall knows about the dancing, but Cowherd’s obsession has now included Rick Bozich as well. Rozich called for an apology from Cowherd and true to form, Cowherd trolled on.

"“First of all, you won a playoff game for the first time in four years in the East. Yeah, John Wall has just been transcendent. You won a single playoff game in four years. By the way, because you’ve been so bad with John Wall, you’ve gotten all these top draft picks and you haven’t whiffed on all of them. Congratulations. That’s what happens in the NBA when you’re dog hurl for four years; you get really good draft picks. Shocker. You haven’t whiffed on all of them. “Ooh, and you made the playoffs in the East. Woo-hoo! Don’t forget the Knicks until the last week were fighting for a playoff spot in the East; they fired their entire staff. So listen, when John Wall came out and did the Dougie, first home game, for 34 seconds, he was a moron. It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. I will never back down. “Your first day on the job, Mr. Rick Bozich, as a columnist or as a TV reporter, would you do the Dougie into the newsroom? Oh, you wouldn’t, because you’d be looked at like a moron. My first day at ESPN, your first day as a columnist, your first day as a Starbucks barista, you’re gonna do the Dougie? I don’t care if you’ve won titles; do what you want. Ray Lewis became an icon, had a Super Bowl; you dance however you want to dance. Magic Johnson’s got five, six rings; you dance how you want to dance. First day on the job, Derek Jeter’s not doing the Dougie. He’s not."

Well guess what?  John Wall and his Wizards are now up 2-0 over the Bulls thanks to a 101-99 overtime win last night.  Wall can dance more … and Cowherd can keep hating.
