During a teleconference yesterday as the 2014 NCAA Tournament winds down, Turner Sports analyst Steve Kerr and CBS Sports analyst Greg Anthony offered their thoughts on this weekend’s Final Four in North Texas.

It’s not going to be easy for the Kentucky Wildcats but they faced the toughest road by far to get to the Final Four this year.

“I think the loss against Florida in the SEC Tourney actually helped,” Greg Anthony said on the call. “They realized they could play with a great team.”

It was that game that led me to believe that the Wildcats could make a deep run in the tournament. However, when I saw the NCAA draw and who they would have to face to get there, my initial thoughts were: Beat Kansas State and the Wildcats could make some magic in the tournament. I just didn’t think it would go down like this!

“I think Kentucky’s best attack is the offensive glass,” offered Steve Kerr on how the Cats could beat Wisconsin.

ESPN college basketball insider Jeff Goodman was talking to Colin Cowherd yesterday and said that Kentucky was not going to be a great match-up for the Wisconsin Badgers and that’s without sophomore center Willie Cauley-Stein.

When all is said and done, it looks like Kentucky will match up with the Florida Gators in the championship game for a fourth time this season.
