The Kentucky Wildcats are looking for a signature win today against the Louisville Cardinals, and getting the win starts with stopping Cards senior guard Russ Smith. Regarded as volume shooter for his first three years of college, Smith has elevated his passing game this year to where he’s now averaging five assists per game.

Smith is coming off a season in which he led the Cards to their third NCAA championship. He averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Smith finished the season as a 3rd Team All-American selection.

This year, he’s averaging 16.8 points per game and is becoming a better all-around player, and he’ apparently improved his dunking ability too:
