The men’s team will start directly after the women’s game.  Tonight consists of a variety of elements for the Cats, on one hand it’s a chance for revenge after last season’s loss at home to the Bears, however on the other, it’s another chance to see how the Cats fare against another ranked opponent.  The Cats come into tonight’s game ranked #3 in the nation against the #20 Baylor Bears, it should be a good test against a top-25 opponent.

Both teams have had some close calls during the season.  Most notably for Kentucky was the Cleveland State game where the Cats ‘escaped’ to win the game 68-61.  For the Bears, they played a hard game against a very good Dayton Flyers team that is now ranked #25 to comeback and win the game by one point.   So, both teams know what it is like to play under presser, but will tonight’s game at AT&T stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys be a factor for either team?

Baylor should have plenty of fans in attendance, because of how close the game is played in relation to the university.  However, Big Blue Nation is one of the best traveling fan bases in the country.  Expect plenty of the “blue mist” in attendance tonight.

Kentucky seems to be catching fire as they show sufficient improvement against Providence this past Sunday.  We got to see who could step-up in place of Randle, if he where to be shut-out by an opponent.  So far, the biggest answer to that question has been James Young.  Young stepped-up against Providence by scoring 18 points.  Aaron and Andrew Harrison also contributed much better and it was nice to see Dakari Johnson become more involved also.  Not to mention great leadership by Willie Cauley-Stein, he seems to be playing better and better each time he plays.  But, can everyone stay consistent?

It looks as though that answer will come soon at this rate and we are starting to get a look at what Kentucky can really look and play like.  Speaking of looks, Kentucky will be sporting new uniforms tonight with silver/chrome lettering.  Nice classy look for tonight, hopefully it’s something they use more often throughout the season.

Also fans, tonight Kentucky and Texas will be expecting to experience icy/snowy conditions in the area.  Be sure to be weather aware and drive safely.  Bridges and overpasses will likely be slick, as well as the possibility for black ice in some areas. If you are wanting updates on the games, please be sure that you do so safely.

The men’s game will tip-off at 10:00pm on ESPN.
