We have said many times that Mark Stoops has changed the culture of football at Kentucky and most specifically in the world of recruiting. That became obvious when Scout revealed their 2015 rankings and we saw that Mark Stoops is going after as many top 100 players as John Calipari. Well, almost. And a Kentucky bred player cracks the top 25.
"Madison Southern junior Damien Harris is ranked as the No. 22 overall prospect in the class, according to Scout. He’s considered the No. 2 running back in 2015 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the Midwest. Harris committed to play for the University of Michigan last month, though he will not be allowed to sign with the school until February 2015. He does have a scholarship offer from Kentucky. Several prospects who have Kentucky among those listed in their “schools of interest” made the Top 100. Those players include Florida defensive end CeCe Jefferson (6th overall), Virginia linebacker Ricky DeBerry (10th), Florida safety Shawn Burgess-Becker (23rd), Florida linebacker Jeffery Holland (33rd), Ohio running back Larry Scott (34th), Ohio linebacker Justin Hilliard (54th), Ohio running back Eric Glover-Williams (67th) and Texas quarterback Jarrett Stidham (83rd). Stidham plays for a school in Stephenville, Texas, but he grew up in Kentucky and still has family in the state. He’s ranked as the No. 5 quarterback in the class. Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Baylor have already offered."

Already Jojo Kemp is becoming one of my favorite freshman for the UK Football team. From all indications, he has a motor like Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and no shortage of confidence.
"Rivals.com ranked him as the nation’s 10th best multipurpose back in the 2013 recruiting class and one college football analyst predicted he would be the Southeastern Conference Offensive Freshman of the Year, something he admits he liked and didn’t like at the same time. “When it is my time, I will make the best of it and hopefully not let people down. I am just going to give my best. That’s all I can do,” Kemp said. “This offense fits me very well. I am one of those guys who just does what the coach asks me to do. If it was pro-style, I would fit well in that offense, too. It really don’t matter. I am very coachable.” He also believes he’s more than just a versatile back as most believe. “I am a physical player. People don’t realize it because I am always making them miss, but I am a physical player as well,” he said. In fact, given a choice of running over or around an opponent, he would prefer to run over the would-be tackler. “I would probably give them that shoulder. I want to run through them. I think it is more exciting when you run through and keep going than running around them,” he said. “The conditioning program here in the summer really helped me. I came in at 178 and now I am 188. I gained 10 pounds. I am getting these guns (bicep muscles). It has been good for my running style, which is make people miss and catch the ball out of the backfield. This is what Kentucky needs with the Air Raid offense and what I can do.”"
