Recent Travels:

"I’ve been really just trying to settle in, in Phoenix. I just got me a condo there, so I’ve been moving into there. Other than that, I’ve just been in the gym, working, talking to coaches and just trying to get better. I think I had a really strong (NBA Summer League) showing. Just going out there and getting the opportunity to play. I just wanted to showcase that I’ve been working really hard. I’ve been working on a lot of things in my game. I just wanted to show that I was better than what people thought. They (the Suns) were excited to get me, as I was excited to be there. They said from the get-go, they knew I was going to be a special player, felt like I was going to be one of the better players out of this draft. I felt the same. I know with my work ethic and the way I compete that I’m going to make that happen. Just being in the right position for me and having this opportunity, I feel like I’ll be able to make some things happen."

On his Game Translating to NBA:

"In the NBA the biggest thing is me using my athleticism and my ball-handling to get into the lane. Being in the NBA, it’s a defensive three-seconds. In college opposed to being able to pack into the lane, having to get out of the lane every three seconds, so that little split second that they’re out of the lane allows me to get in there and make something, create a shot for myself or for others. It’s a lot easier for me to draw fouls as well because you can be a little more physical on the perimeter in college opposed to the NBA. If you touch, it’s a foul. I think if I didn’t lead the summer league in free throws, I was pretty close. That’s another big part of my game."

Getting to play with former Wildcat Eric Bledsoe, and have they talked:

"I’ve talked to him a few times when he was up there. I know he’s been busy just as well as I have. But it’s going to be a great opportunity for me, just to be under a guy that played here. We’ll already have that bond going. I know he’s a competitor as well as I am. So I feel like us together, we can make some things happen. Two young guards going to come in — I’m a rookie, he’s been there a little longer obviously. He has things that he can teach me. I’m all ears for everything. I know he’s not going to tell me anything wrong."
