Well hello Andrew Wiggins, how are you. Besides the fact that we are approaching the May 15 deadline, there does seem to be momentum in the fact that Wiggins is deciding soon, perhaps this weekend. Fueling that is the fact that his Mother is travelling to West Virginia. Also there was a screencap from a Kansas board making the rounds in which someone with a “source” said that “Paypal Cal” got another. Apparently he has not gotten the news that McLemore may be investigated soon and that well the whole Josh Selby era was a mess.

Anyway, ESPN ran down the choices for the 1,257th time this month and seems to think that there are reasons to think that Wiggins to UK would work …

"There are plenty of reasons why it would work, of course, namely Calipari. Save last season, a rare aberration in which the UK coach couldn’t get a group of talented young guys to put it together on the defensive end, Calipari’s defenses have finished in the top 15 in adjusted efficiency every year since 2006 and in the top 10 in all but two of those seasons. His 2012 national title team wasn’t his best defensively, but it was the most emblematic of his ideal squad in that it combined real NBA stars into the most balanced and prolific team we’ve seen in a long time. That was a special group, but so is this one; there’s no reason to expect 2011-12 can’t or won’t happen again in Lexington this season — why Calipari can’t convince his star player his way works. Because it does. The funny thing is, that’s probably going to be the case whether Wiggins goes to UK or not. If Wiggins goes elsewhere, Kentucky will still be the SEC favorite and a national title contender, if not the favorite. If Wiggins does choose to join up — if he agrees to top billing in the “Kentucky signed the Nos. 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11 and 18 players in the class of 2013” phrase you’d read a lot between now and November — then we have to recalibrate our expectations much, much higher. Laying claim to the Iron Throne is a good place to start. Galactic domination isn’t out of the question. A genuine discussion of the Accomplishment That Shall Not Be Named (hint: it starts with “u” and rhymes with “superheated”) is somewhere on that list. Rest assured, Calipari is interested in all three."

Going with a hunch once again, I am GUESSING Monday as the day Wiggins announces. I can and probably am wrong on this. But some dude from Maxpreps throws all speculation to the wind and says that this can drag into the summer … and then gives no reason whatsoever why he thinks this can happen.

"All the attention is no surprise given Wiggins’ immense talent and his potential impact at the college level. Wiggins would give likely preseason No. 1 Kentucky an unprecedented, unimaginable and perhaps even unmanageable recruiting haul, making the Wildcats must-see TV in 2013-14. He immediately turns Kansas and North Carolina into Final Four contenders. And he does pretty much whatever he wants at Florida State, which probably holds some appeal and even more so considering both of his parents are ‘Noles. Brother Mitchell Jr. also plays a few hours away at Southeastern University in Lakeland. College basketball’s spring signing period ends May 15. Wiggins — who produced 23.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game as a senior at Huntington Prep — can still hook on with whatever program he chooses following that date through a financial aid agreement. With that option on the table, don’t be surprised if Decision 2013 decision drags into the summer."
