Former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA: 2/25 Edition

A total of 11 former Kentucky Wildcats played in last night’s games.  Tayshaun Prince, Anthony Davis, Darius Miller, DeMarcus Cousins, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson, Jodie Meeks, Marquis Teague, Nazr Mohammed, DeAndre Liggins and Daniel Orton all suited up for their respective teams.  Let’s take a look at how each player did individually.

New Orleans Hornets 110 – Sacramento Kings 95

  • Anthony Davis, Forward, New Orleans

  • Chuck Hayes, Forward, Sacramento
  • Patrick Patterson, Forward, Sacramento

The New Orleans Hornets vs. Sacramento Kings game last night was like a Kentucky Wildcat reunion, with five total former Cats in action.  For the Hornets, Anthony Davis finished with 20 points, 8 rebounds and an assist.  Also for the Hornets, Darius Miller played only one minute and did not accumulate any stats.  For the Kings, DeMarcus Cousins had 16 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.  Also for the Kings, Chuck Hayes finished with 3 rebounds and an assist.  Finally, Patrick Patterson got in for 2 minutes last night for the Kings, as he acclimates himself with the new team.  Patterson finished 1-2 shooting with 2 points.  The Hornets beat the Kings, 110 to 95.

Oklahoma City Thuner 102 – Chicago Bulls 72

Just like the Hornets vs. Kings game, the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Chicago Bulls game last night had many former Cats in action.  A total of four.  For the Thunder, Daniel Orton played 9 minutes, scoring 4 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, blocking a shot and dishing out an assist.  Also for the Thunder, DeAndre Liggins played 6 minutes and finished with a steal and an assist.  For the Bulls, Marquis Teague played 18 minutes, finishing with 3 points, 2 assists, a steal and a block.  Also for the Bulls, Nazr Mohammed played 12 minutes and had 6 points, 6 rebounds, an assist and a steal.  The Thunder blew out the Bulls, 102 to 72.

Memphis Grizzlies 76 – Brooklyn Nets 72

In the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Brooklyn Nets game last night, Tayshaun Prince finished with 11 points, 3 steals, a rebound and an assist.  The Grizzlies got the win in a low scoring affair, 76 to 72.

Los Angeles Lakers 103 – Dallas Mavericks 99

The final former Cat in action last night was Jodie Meeks for the Los Angeles Lakers.  Against the Dallas Mavericks, Meeks finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  The Lakers beat the Mavericks, 103 to 99.
