Below are actual comments left to Doyel regarding his article, just not all 219 of them at the time I posted this.

"spideyboy_73 11 hours ago @jhawk613 I was thinking the same thing. This isn’t college football, where a team like Alabama is rewarded for having the best recruiting class with an automatic slot in the mythical “National Championship” game. CardSmack29 11 hours ago"

"I’ll certainly admit that UK has some rich history in college basketball but Cal is only making the college game a laughing stock with how he’s running that one-and-done nbdl program down I-64. It’s disgusting to be honest and his great philosophy is showing its rear end right now with having NO experience on his team. Last night they looked like a bunch of highschool kids running around trying to figure out the game as they go. Terrible defense, bad shot selection, poor rebounding and not playing as a team. If that makes Cal a good coach them you can keep him. Yeah he might be putting together the “greatest recruiting class ever” for next year but we all see how it worked out for him this year with the #1 recruiting class. Hey great job Cal. You have at least one fan who wants to write about your “success”. And giving someone credit for vacated wins is glorifying someone for false accomplishments. I bet you are a big fan of Millie Vanillie too. How bout that Joe Paterno? Hey here’s something new for you to cheer for too. Lance Armstrong whipped everybody in cycling. Just disregard the fact that he cheated too. I mean he’s also a great man right?"

Can anyone explain to me why when a National Columnist writes an article and plainly is heaping well deserved PRAISE on Rick Pitino and UL basketball, their largely irrational fan base makes an issue about UK being in the article despite knowing they are only used as a reference to prop up the great job being done right now?  Anyone?

It’s a rhetorical question really but I will actually answer by presuming most UL fans have some sort of inferiority complex and don’t know how to handle their success in the lime light.  Even when it’s their time to shine, and the national spotlight is squarely on all the positives going on in that program, they, in turn, shine that light right back to Lexington and John Calipari’s Wildcats.  Why?  I have no idea but that HAS to be why they are rightly referred to as “little brother.”

My message to you, Louisville fans, is to enjoy this moment.  Quit complaining that Kentucky is mentioned in the same article as your coach is being heralded.  All you’re doing is screaming for more attention like “little brothers” do.
