Former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA: 12/20 Edition

There were a total of 14 former Kentucky Wildcats playing in the NBA last night.  Rajon Rondo, Doron Lamb, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Patrick Patterson, Terrence Jones, Enes Kanter, Keith Bogans, Tayshaun Prince, Brandon Knight, Darius Miller, Anthony Davis, Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins and Chuck Hayes all suited up for their respective teams last night.  Let’s take a look at how each player did individually.

Sacramento Kings 131 – Golden State Warriors 127

It was a high scoring affair in the Sacramento Kings vs. Golden State Warriors game last night.  For the Kings, DeMarcus Cousins finished with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.  Also for the Kings, Chuck Hayes came off the bench to finish with 3 points, 2 rebounds and a block.  The Kings edge out the Warriors, 131 to 127.

Los Angeles Clippers 93 – New Orleans Hornets 77

There were three former Cats in last night’s game between the Los Angles Clippers and the New Orleans Hornets. For the Clippers, Eric Bledsoe played 20 minutes off the bench and totaled 4 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.  For the Hornets, Anthony Davis finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds and a block.  Also for the Hornets, Darius Miller played 12 minutes off the bench, finishing with 4 points, 3 rebounds and an assist.  The Clippers get the win, 93-77.

Toronto Raptors 97 – Detroit Pistons 91

The Pistons traveled across the border last night to take on the Toronto Raptors.  For the Pistons, Brandon Knight finished with 2 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds in a rough night of 1-10 shooting.  Also for Detroit, Tayshaun Prince finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.  The Pistons fell short in this one to the Raptors, 97 to 91.

Phoenix Suns 121 – Charlotte Bobcats 104

Last night, Michael Kidd Gilchrist became only the second player ever, alongside LeBron James, to finish a game with at least 25 points and at least 12 rebounds twice before his 20th birthday.  Last night, MKG finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.  The Bobcats lost despite MKG’s efforts, 121 to 104.

Boston Celtics 103 – Cleveland Cavaliers 91

Former Cat Rajon Rondo finished with 20 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals in Boston’s 103 to 91 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers last night.

Indiana Pacers 104 – Utah Jazz 84

  • Enes Kanter, Center, Utah

Enes Kanter played 23 minutes off the bench last night, finishing with 9 points, 9 rebounds and a block.  The Jazz got blown out in this one, 104 to 84.

New York Knicks 100 – Brooklyn Nets 86

  • Keith Bogans, Guard, Brooklyn

It was the battle of New York last night as the Knicks squared off against the Nets.  For the Nets, Keith Bogans finished with 11 points and an assist.  The Knicks got the win behind a strong performance from Carmelo Anthony, 100 to 86.

Memphis Grizzlies 90 – Milwaukee Bucks 80

  • Doron Lamb, Guard, Milwaukee

Formet Cat Doron Lamb came off the bench to play 17 minutes last night, scoring 8 points, grabbing 2 rebounds, dishing out 2 assists and having 2 steals as well.  The Bucks lost to the Grizzlies, 90 to 80.

Houston Rockets 125 – Philadelphia 76ers 103

  • Terrence Jones, Forward, Houston
  • Patrick Patterson, Forward, Houston

Former Cat Patrick Patterson sat out his third game in a row for the Houston Rockets last night with an injury to his right leg.  Also for the Rockets, Terrence Jones played 3 minutes and recorded one assist.  The Rockets got the win, 125 to 103.
