Bill Keightley – A Happy Birthday to Mr Wildcat

It was Bill Keightley’s birthday 86 years ago today and to celebrate, let’s take a look at MR WILDCAT and see what World War II Veteran, who served his country and the University of Kentucky so well for so long stood for.

Marine – Being born in 1926, Keightley survived the Great Depression only to then be sent to fight in World War II. After coming back to the US, Keightley worked as a postal worker until he was offered a spot with the University of Kentucky as the assistant equipment manager, and wouldn’t relinquish the position for 48 more years.
