WKU Drive at WKU 17 with 3:00 left:

A block in the back penalty on first-down stalled the WKU drive early, and on 3rd-and-15, the Toppers were only able to pick up 8 yards, and WKU would be forced to punt.

UK Drive at UK-16 with 7:54 left

DeMarcus Sweat fumbled the kickoff, but the Cats were able to recover, but not before being flagged before unsportsmanlike-conduct and pushing the Cats back to the UK-16. WKU would return the favorwith a personal foul of their own, and a DeMarco Robinson 19-yard catch-and-run got the ball out to the WKU-48. An Aaron Boyd 13-yard reception on 3rd-and-12 got the Cats down to the WKU-39. The Cats would continue to drive down to the WKU-15, where Max Smith would hit Johnathan George on a dump-off pass that he broke 2 tackles on in getting to the endzone. to cut the WKU score to 24-17.  The drive covered 84 yards on 12 plays.

WKU Drive at WKU-20 with 15:00 left

Antonio Andrews would continue too asset himself in the rushing attack, rushing for 20 yards on the first three plays of the half. A Collins Ukwu sack would slow the drive down, but another big run by Antonio Andrews on 3rd-and-4 got the Hilltoppers down to the UK-25. WKU would faced with a 3rd-and-2 at the UK -19, and Andrews again rushed for the first-down. Kawaun Jakes would then hit Willie McNeal on a 13-yard TD pass to give WKU a 24-10 lead.
