2008 – Jodie Meeks certainly made his name from the start of the 2008 year. Meeks scored 39 in the season opening loss to VMI and would not see his high score stop, there topping it twice in the next few weeks. Against Appalacian State he went off for 46 and put up 54 on Tennessee  in the best display of three point shooting seen by a Wildcat. Meeks didn’t just hit the shots in bulk, he hit them when it counted, drilling a three against Florida overtop Nick Calathes to help his team pull out a 68-65 win later that season.
