Meet the 2012 Wildcat Football Freshmen: Kory Brown

East Central Community College (JUCO)

There may not be a player on the Kentucky roster surrounded by more mystery than Kory Brown. His recruitment was under the radar and extending him a scholarship didn’t really make sense until it was discovered that he would be enrol long early.  With a big need in the defensive backfield, the Wildcats could afford to pursue someone who could contribute immediately.   As the sole Junior College addition in the 2012 class, Brown was able to enroll in classes this winter and participate in all of Kentucky’s spring practices. Brown comes in at a  great time for himself and Kentucky as well. The graduation of Winston Guy has left an opportunity for immediate playing time at the safety/linebacker hybrid position, and even if Brown cannot win the starting job, he is very likely to see the field early and he is almost a guaranteed special teams contributor.
