SENDING PLAYERS TO THE NBA DRAFT
I decided to reward each coach for getting a player drafted, but also weighed it to reward how high that player was drafted. A Top 5 Player would be a player that dominated in college and a lot of this was as a result of coaching. The scale also rewards a coach who may not send as many players to the NBA, but he gets his players drafted higher. For example, a lottery pick would carry as much weight as three second round players. That player will stick in the NBA for a while as opposed to players who may not even make a squad. Here is my scoring:
FIRST DRAFT PICK – 5 POINTS
TOP 5 PICK – 4 POINTS
LOTTERY PICK (TOP 11) – 3 POINTS
FIRST ROUND PICK – 2 POINTS
NBA DRAFT PICK – 1 POINT
Let’s see how that last five years went.
