Amile Jefferson still not ready to pick a school, no press conference on Friday

It’s the recruitment that will never end.  If you listen to the rumors, Amile Jefferson has been on the verge of announcing his school for about three months and has yet to pull the trigger.  There were rumors that he was going to make an announcement on Friday, but apparently that is not going to happen. Adam Zagoria reports that the rumors of a press conference are not true and that there is no set timetable for Jefferson, who is considering Duke, Kenucky, North Carolina State, Ohio State, and Villanova.  If you are a Kentucky fan, you can read the tea leaves and say he is waiting to see what Anthony Bennett does, but that is just speculation.

I realize that the Calipari to the Knicks rumor is pretty much on life support, but Adam Zagoria pretty much kills it.  Zagoria reports that the New York Knicks hiring Glen Grunwald Executive VP and GM:

With the low-key Grunwald now firmly in control under owner Jim Dolan, it appears unlikely that Calipari or Phil Jackson would come aboard as coach, since both men are thought to want control over the entire organization.

Grunwald also has a strong relationship with interim head coach Mike Woodson, his former Indiana teammate, and it may only be a matter of time before Woodson’s interim tag is lifted as  well.

If you had tickets for the Anthony Davis signing in Florence on Thursday night, the event has been moved to Friday from 5-8 at The Kentucky Shop. Ticket holders will get a free gift to make up for the inconvenience and there are still tickets available for $80.  The price includes three limited edition posters and you can get two items signed.  Judging from what some of the Anthony Davis posters were going for on E-bay, that may be a bargain.  Just saying.

As I reported this morning, John Calipari threw out the first pitch at the Red’s game last night and he did us proud and did not “Baba Booey” us.  Here is proof of that.

And finally, how about some good ole Louisville bashing? This video was produced by the UKAA for the CATSPYs.

Good video, but I would LOVE to cruise campus in the Batmobile. Hope that does not make me a Louisville fan.
