I love a good nickname – as you can tell from my pseudonym – and apparently most Kentucky fans do too. In fact, nearly every NCAA tourney Kentucky team seems to get one and many players on those teams do too. As fans, we look back on those squads of yesteryear and while you might not be able to remember the year or in some instances the reason, the nickname brings it all back.
As this year’s tourney journey comes to the midpoint this weekend with games 3 and 4 of a total of 6 for two lucky teams, it is time to start thinking about this year’s name. While we’ll hold off naming rights for April, here’s a little WBN Quiz to get you in the right mindset:
