A Wildcat win and a Cardinal loss sets the stage for New Years Eve

facebooktwitterreddit

1. Kidd-Gilchrist leads team in Victory

MKG led the Cats with a career high 18 points and an undeniable work ethic last night in an 86-64 win over a feisty Lamar team. Anthony Davis had another double-double with 10 points and 13 boards as well as six blocks, while Darius Miller and Marquis Teague both finished with 15 points a piece. The Cats looked uneven at times, but took care of business by beating an inferior team by more than 20 points.

2. Terrence Jones still not right

Jones looked to still be favoring his left hand and only had nine points. He still looked timid and was not as aggressive as we all would like him to be. For some reason I still think most of what is wrong with him is mental and I’m note sure even he knows what is wrong. The true test will come on Saturday when Louisville comes to town.

3. Chane Behanan is bad at making predictions

Remember when Louisville’s Chane Behanan stated that Louisville was the true #1 team in the country and would go undefeated, point-blank period? His team finally faced a talented, well coached, big and fast team in Georgetown and lost by three in the Yum! Center. The Cards got out to a hot start by nailing threes, but once the game came down to actually running plays and converting, the Card could not do it. They lost at home to a good team, let’s see how they match up against one on the road.

4. IU loses to Michigan State, the state of Indiana explodes

That last part isn’t true, but it might as well be. Indiana finally lost one away from Bloomington to a very improved Spartan team. Hoosier fans again showed how awesome they are by cussing out UK fans on Facebook and Twitter for no reason. IU fans are the biggest asses on the planet. Besides Louisville fans.

5. Coach Cal not happy with Performance

John Calipari had a lot to say after the Lamar game. He wouldn’t talk about the Louisville game, he was not very complementary of Marquis Teague, he said Terrence Jones is not agressive enough,  he stated multiple times that he was not happy with his team and that he is not happy that they aren’t changing their bad habits. Cal is in pissed off Cal mode and do not expect that to change until the final buzzer on Saturday. The next two days of practice and film sessions should be as intense as these players have ever seen. I know Calipari says they prepare the same for every team they face, but something tells me there will be a little more fire in his coaching in the next 48 hours. Cal said his players thinks it is cool that he keeps it real…until he keeps it real with them. Yikes.

That’s all for me this morning. Let’s amp up the hate a little more today!

P.S. I would like to personally thank all of the Louisville fans that flooded my Twitter feed and called me nasty names. I appreciate the attention and the maturity. And if any of you wonderful people would like to follow me, do so @TheStreeb. See ya Saturday.
