Kentucky Wildcat Football: What I Hate About You: Mississippi State

facebooktwitterreddit

What do I hate most about Mississippi State? I’ll save the most obvious for last. It doesn’t help that I don’t get up until 11:45 most days for class at 12, and yet here I am, sitting at my computer typing away, blurry eyed from the night of video games and pizza to talk about a school I can’t stand…Oh well, more fuel for the fire. Get ready for a sleep deprived post about why I hate Mississippi State.

I have to admit, out of most of the schools in the SEC, I don’t have many reasons to hate Mississippi, but I’ve been to Starkville and…Oh my goodness. Remember when I said a while back that the LSU campus looks like a level from the video game “Left for Dead” well Starkville is like…Like…One giant truck stop. The smell is terrible; it smells like swamp and losing. The place is literally covered with mosquitoes and stray dogs roam the streets like pets. Its like, how could or how would they even put a college in this place. I take back what I said about LSU, the next “Walking Dead” series will be filmed right in beautiful Starkville…My goodness what an arm-pit stain.

I’ll give you another reason why I hate Mississippi State…They always seem to beat Kentucky when they don’t need it, or we are favored to win, or it’s one of the biggest games, or insert any storyline here…THEY ALWAYS DO. Do you remember 2007? Do you remember what kind of football team Kentucky had in 2007? Alright, how about the Mississippi State team in 2007, so you don’t remember? Kentucky was ranked 14th in the COUNTRY going into this game and sitting pretty at 6-2 and 2-1 in the SEC. Perfect opportunity to make a move…

….

….

NOPE. Mississippi State…Beats Kentucky…And they don’t only beat Kentucky but they hand it to them. The final score was 31-14…And the game was IN LEXINGTON. So I loved watching all of those Mississippi State players prance around on the Commonwealth turf because they upset the number on team in the nation. This loss was the turning point of that team’s season and it was their entire fault!

But wait there’s more, the last two years something wacky has happened in these games. Kentucky wins last year (and beat Ole Miss or that Auburn game they were so close to winning, meh) they go to the SEC championship…They go down to the hell hole of Starkville and they get beat. Two years ago, a beatable Mississippi State team rolls into Commonwealth and another loss to Kentucky, plus I had swine flu when I watched that game and was unable to go, you know what that game was? A blackout. Kentucky needs to change that this time around.

So, the game Saturday night could be good, I mean look at it like this…Kentucky is due a victory over Mississippi State…..

Oh wait! My number one reason why I hate Mississippi State….COW BELLS. Oh my goodness. How dumb does a fan base have to be before something happens to where they have to be told on the BIG SCREEN when to shake their cow bells…Yeah…That happens at Mississippi State games. They have to be told when to shake their little bells and when to not shake them…And it’s got to be one of the worst traditions in college football..Period.

Cats win this one, and they better win it big because I HATE Mississippi State.
