Roster finalized for "Big Blue All Stars vs Villians" game

As long as there is no NBA, there will keep being these exhibition games featuring the NBA Players.  It’s not all bad, right?  Well, the rosters for the much hyped “UK Villians” game has been released and while I have no argument with the BBAS squad, I have to admit that the “Villians’ roster is a bit confusing and features a couple of guys that were previously “Big Blue All Stars”.  Seriously, we could not get Joakim Noah, huh?  Regardless, it is probably going to be the one and only chance to catch Enes Kanter in Rupp Arena, so mark your calendars for October 24.  Here are the confirmed rosters:

BIG BLUE ALL-STARS

Coach Rex Chapman
Keith Bogans
DeMarcus Cousins
Josh Harrellson
Chuck Hayes
Brandon Knight
DeAndre Liggins
Jodie Meeks
Nazr Mohammed
Enes Kanter
Tayshaun Prince
Rajon Rondo
John Wall

THE VILLAINS

Coach Christian Laettner
Corey Brewer
Kenneth Faried
Rudy Gay
Eric Gordon
Tyler Hansbrough
Shelvin Mack
Zach Randolph
Nolan Smith
Terrence Williams

To be fair, not every ***** recruit was at Big Blue Madness.  Robert Carter was rumored to be a Kentucky lock several months ago but seems to have fallen off Kentucky’s recruiting landscape.  Carter recently made his first official visit to Georgia over the weekend.  Turns out that Carter has still not received an offer from Kentucky yet but he still wants to get up to Lexington for a visit soon:

“Kentucky has talked to my coaches a lot. It’s not an official offer. I think they claim they don’t really offer guys unless they really want to come there or wherever. I don’t really know. They want me to come up there and see it, so that’s where we stand right now.”

A lot has been made of the fact that Derek Willis chose to go to Louisville’s basketball scrimmage on Friday night rather than attend Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness.  Turns out that Willis was “disappointed” by the turnout at the UL event.  Reports have the UL attendance at around 11,000.  To be honest, I’m not sure where Willis stands in his recruitment, but judging from his comments on his fur finalists, it seems that Purdue, the school he was previously committed to may be back in the running, but Willis claims no favorites

Now that Big Blue Madness is history, a lot of fans are wondering what type of offense Kentucky will run this season.  Glenn Logan from  A Sea of Blue ponders the same question

Finally, with practice underway, videos are starting to leak out.  Here, Anthony Davis has a nasty dunk of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and then MKG returns the favor:
