WBN Nightcap
By Paul Jordan
You know what time it is all of you Wildcat Blue Nation fans out there, you know what time it is. It’s time for the Wildcat Blue Nation night cap with everyone’s favorite blogger, Jon North. So sit back, grab your favorite drink and prepare to be entertained..Let’s get right to it.
The biggest news of the day came earlier when the number one player of the 2012 class Shabazz Muhammad will be attending the annual Kentucky event, “Big Blue Madness” we all think of Big Blue Madness as the kickoff of basketball season, it’s actually a pretty good recruiting event to give recruits just a taste of what they can expect, and how we treat our players like literal superstars. Having recruits at the event may not be the biggest recruiting tool that John Calipari has, but it’s up there. So everyone learn how to say his name properly because I am sure we’ll be chanting it by the end of the night, despite who wants to call it an “NCAA violation”.
So after a bit of basketball news, how about some football? The biggest news on the football front was that Nile Daniel, the 2011 three star wide receiver from the great state of Georgia would not be going to school and enrolling in Kentucky in the fall. Daniel’s choice was in limbo for a while and even though he committed to Kentucky, he did not qualify with the NCAA. On the bright side though, I think he’ll end up with Kentucky eventually in the future.
Something is about to either blow up in Ken Caldwell’s face, or something is about to go down at the University of Louisville. Caldwell had problems at Central Florida with the NCAA, and he is an ex-con and now he’s targeting Louisville assistant Cliff Hurtt, anyway, Ken Caldwell’s current tweeting kick is on Charlie Strong’s Louisville team. Here are some tweets 140 characters at a time:
“Charlie Strong you are in trouble also…Truth is going to come out about you also. Your Asst is the famous bag man. Boy is the heat coming.”
As if this wasn’t enough, he had more:
“Isn’t strange that Charlie Asst was voted the #1 recruiter in the nation? Money talk…They mad at Ucf because it didn’t have money”.
But wait! Here comes the punch line kiddies!
“The NCAA is investigating several kids right now at U of L and you haven’t heard one peep about it…and it isn’t Kevin Ware…I know all!!!”

And lastly, college football may be upon us, but college basketball is just on the horizon. My favorite thing about college basketball is the 24 hour tip-off of college basketball. All college basketball for 24 hours and it’s a ton of fun.
They’ve released their schedule of games, and here it is along with a link with the top 10 most intriguing game of this schedule, check it out and good night: http://m.yahoo.com/w/sports/home/blogs/article?offset=0&urn=urn%3Anewsml%3Asports.yahoo%2Cyhoo%3A20050301%3Ancaab%2Carticle%2Cyhoo-ept_sports_ncaab_experts-wp4421%3A1&.ts=1314308157&.ysid=SiQLKJargQUND6pQIdKQa3Or&.intl=US&.lang=en
