Kentucky Wildcat Basketball: Quick Morning Notes on Stan Simpson and Doron Lamb

Morning BBN.  No real time for a full fledged five today as I am in the process of having to find a new place to live and soon.  So my life has been on quite a roller coaster this week, so I do apologize:

Memo to my complex:  It’s nice that you fully upgraded the whole complex a couple of years ago.  The reason that it came in under budget is probably because the wood you used was termite infested and now needs to be redone two years later. 

So that is my life lately.  How is yours?

The good news is that there is not a lot of news going around concerning UK today as they prepare to face Princeton in a few hours.  But it does appear that 2011 big man Stan Simpson is getting closer to making a decision as to where he will attend school next year.  Simpson tweeted out the following last night:

And all of a sudden, the 2011 possibilities are starting to dry up real quick.  DeAndre Daniels has marked Kentucky off his list and now may be looking at Duke.  It also looks like Braeden Anderson may be Kansas bound, God’s Gift may go to St. John’s, and Trevor Lacey?  Well I have not heard much buzz on Lacey at all lately, so it looks like he may head to one of the Alabama schools.  Which would leave Simpson to Kentucky, which I think would be a very good move for him and for UK.  The first part of this season showed the need for another big on the roster.

And as of now, the progress on Doron Lamb’s ankle is pretty good.  Apparently, Lamb is 90 – 95% for today’s game and while I hope we do not need him, it’s good to know that he is available and should be able to contribute.

Stay tuned on the site today as we will have final score updates on all the NCAA games today.  As for me, I am going to try to fit in a few home viewings before the Cat’s tipoff.
