Is there something going on tonight? Oh yea it must but the that Skrek the Third will be on…Oh wait what am I talking about tonight is the Kentucky and Florida game, how could I forget that. Well it looks like me and Richie may be having us a glass of fine Kentucky bourbon tonight and watching the game.

The big story about tonight’s game is the reunion of Brandon Knight and Kenny Boynton; well it’s a big story to everyone but them. Knight and Boynton are friends and former AAU teammates, even went as far for Knight to take a visit to Florida to see Boynton play before deciding to play for the Cats. When ask about the reunion Knight said.

“It won’t be weird at all,” He went on to say. “I don’t know why you guys are making it a big deal”

Not only will this be a reunion with a former teammate he will have plenty of family on hand to watch the big game since he is a Florida native and don’t look for that to bother him either.

It looks like the Florida players’ rooms at school just aren’t good enough for pregame sleep for a Saturday game. Billy Donovan checked all of his players in to an off-campus hotel last night, not sure the reason for this but this is the second time he has done this. He did this before the team’s last home game that was played on a Saturday. It worked for them last time as it led to a huge victory for the Gators. Let’s hope for our sake that history doesn’t repeat itself and this comes
back to bit them.

Well with a big game on ESPN comes College Gameday, they will be on hand for tonight match up. For the morning edition of the show it was quiet embarrassing as Florida fans only half filled one section of the arena just enough for the cameras. I’m sorry but this is a joke when Gameday came to Rupp we sold out the arena. I guess Florida fans aren’t half of Kentucky. During the morning show Coach Cal and Billy Donovan set down for an interview together. I posted the interview in case you missed it.

It looks like Enes Kanter’s name is popping up in the news again. Yesterday an article was posted about Timothy Epstein; Epstein is the attorney that is representing the Kanter family. He discussed the Kanter situation as well as exploring the options of suing the NCAA. This was an interesting read and I suggest you guys check it out it is half down the page under the heading seeking good sports.

Also taking the court tonight on national television is two 2012 recruits for the Cats Shabazz Muhammad and Rosco Allen of Bishop Gorman(NV) they will be taking on Long Beach Poly(CA) at 10 PM on ESPN2. Both Muhammad and Allen have Kentucky on their list of future schools. Coach Cal has been actively recruiting both of these young gentlemen and tonight we get a chance to see them play.

It looks like the draft value of Randall Cobb and Derrick Locke continue to increase. Yesterday both guys were invited to the NFL combine to prepare for the NFL Draft. The guys over at ESPN are taking a look at them as well as Todd McShay discusses both of these guys’ futures and gives Rivals top 32 prospects for this year’s draft Cobb is No. 29 on that list.

In honor of tomorrows Super Bowl I thought I would share my pick for the big game and I believe it’s Coach Cal’s pick as well since he is wearing the helment.

As always until voting ends I want to remind you that John Wall still needs your vote for the NBA Skills challenge so get the future Wildcat in it. All he needs is your vote, as always Uncle Sam will lead you to the page.
