WBN Hot Links- Back In The Saddle Again Edition
By Paul Jordan
Good Morning little buckaroos. It is your old pal Greg once again with a visit into the past with another edition of today’s WBN Hot Links. Our fearless Leader says he is experiencing technical difficulties this morning, ( no hangovers involved) so yours truly is “Back In The Saddle Again”.
So in a tribute to one of my childhood and even early adult heroes, the legendary Roy Rogers, let’s saddle up.
Last night’s action is going to leave a few tire treads on some people who were enjoying their new found success, as our friends down on Rocky Top found out when both their men’s and women’s basketball teams got rolled over by Oakland on the men’s side and Baylor on the women’s. That Karma, she is a tough lady to tame.
For even more stress in the land of the Capitol of Country Music, the Commodores are now looking to the state of Maryland to solve their coaching dilemma now that Gus Malzahn has spurned the ‘Dores.
I am a big fan of Will Muschamp. I am not a big fan of the Florida Gators. This is going to be a dilemma for me for a long time. The guy coaches the way you should coach, and he will be a good hire for the Gators. I just hate it down in my bones that he now resides in the swamp. I will however back him up when he plays South Carolina.
Bleed Blue Kentucky has a good piece on Joker and his recruiting. Enjoy. I have said before that when Mark Emmert took over at the NCAA, it was a sign of times changing. He is a 100% control freak, and wants his hands on everything that goes on, and he is not happy about the Cam Newton situation, and the NCAA is now considering new legislation to prevent it from ever happening again. The sad part is that they may do it in time to prevent the Kanter ruling from ever occurring as well. Why do people call me a conspiracy theorist???
My buddy Ken Howlett over at A Sea Of Blue has Santa’s Naughty and Nice list posted. You may want to look to see if your name is on there where it shouldn’t be.
In Part 1 of our “Today Puerto Rico, Tomorrow The World” series, Drexel is now our mortal enemy, or our newest best buddy, whichever way you want to look at it. They beat us to the punch and handed UL their first loss in the Yum! Center. There goes the Karma Monster again!
So, there you have it my friends, my fill in post for Paul, who I have just learned was really having technical difficulties after all, it seems he laughed so hard the sound knocked over his drink onto his computer when he learned that both Louisville and Tennessee lost last night and the subsequent explosion killed it. You just cannot hire good help.
Paul will return tomorrow, so until then, Happy Trails!!
