Thursday Hot Links- Where In The World Did ABC GO? Edition

My humble apologies folks for missing yesterday’s Hot Links. I was in the middle of a family medical emergency and sorting out those wonderful pieces of paper which drive our healthcare system when someone has to go to the ER. No permanent damage, but it will sure screw up a whole day’s plans.

So, for today we will have an XX-Large batch of links on everything from soup to nuts.

First I am cabbaging off of my buddy Glenn Logan over at http://www.aseaofblue.com/ for his links from yesterday. No sense in repeating hard work, much easier to say thank you to Glenn and look for some other stuff. There is some really good material in there including a “discussion” of sorts between Glenn and Eamonn Brennan. Let’s say they are agreeing to disagree about Brandon Knight.

Human bowling in Canada. It simply does not get any better than this, because they rammed into Jerry Tipton. That gets you double bonus points in my book. Sorry, Jerry, I just could not resist.

The newest dance craze has hit and it is not the John Wall. But we do have video of John Wall doing it (the dance) with DeMarcus Cousins.

Not sure what this is going to lead to, but Karen Sypher’s lawyer plans to try to prove that witnesses for the government’s case against her lied under oath. I love Rick Pitino, I really do, but I am not lying under oath for him. I have a feeling that no one else did either.

Incoming NCAA president Mark Emmert wants to get a baseball-style rule in effect for college basketball. I support this effort wholeheartedly, the question is, what will the NBA do, or does this guy have the guts to do what needs to be done and tell the NBA to take a hike? We shall see.

I cannot link to this article because it is an ESPN insider article from Fran Fraschilla wherein he advocates the 24 second shot clock being implemented in college basketball. I have to confess I am on the fence on this one, because I can see both sides clearly. But I do know this, that 24 sec shot clock is tailor-made for the DDMO.

Pat Forde is mulling Les Miles’ situation at LSU. Nice to see Forde point his guns somewhere further south than Lexington for a change.

Chris Low at ESPN gives his take on what may or may not happen in the SEC East for football.

Nice piece in the H-L about Winston Guy. He has got to step up and make his move if the Cats are going to make theirs.

They are unhappy with UT down in Chattanooga about UT wanting to drop the North Carolina game from their schedule. This is really going to screw up my wanting to name the game “The Lane Kiffin Violators Bowl”. By the time they play it, they could both be on probation from the NCAA. I hate that for the Vols’ fans. But I hate Kiffin more, so there.

Louisville lost one of their ubertalented freshmen to a knee injury,Michaelee Harris is out for at least a month which keeps him out of the UK-UL matchup.

The Cats are going to be lighting up Super Tuesday quite a bit this year on ESPN. I know it kills ESPN to have to put us in prime time…..

Here is one fan’s first hand account of the Canada trip. Some good stuff in here. However, he is concerned about 19 yr old girls in Windsor.

OK that should hold you folks until tomorrow. Same Cat-Time, same Cat-Channel.
