Kentucky Basketball is hosting five-star small forward and consensus top-10 2020 prospect Brandon “BJ” Boston for an official visit, starting Friday

Kentucky Basketball and John Calipari, as expected, are not resting on their laurels during the offseason. But when has Calipari ever been known to rest? The recruiting maestro has saddled up and is riding into battle for some of the top 2020 recruits in the class of 2020. Friday, afro-wearing five-star wing BJ Boston will begin his official visit with the Kentucky Wildcats, according to a tweet from college hoops recruiting guru Jake Weingarten:

According to Weingarten, this won’t be Boston’s first tour of the Bluegrass State. The 6-6 blue-chip prospect out of Chatsworth, CA is high on the Kentucky Basketball wishlist. And the feeling appears mutual since Boston has already visited once on his own dime (I’m sure he didn’t actually pay).

Honestly, I haven’t studied Boston’s game too closely quite yet, but honestly, he seems raw and a better shooter than anything else. Give a few days to binge-watch his mixtapes and peruse surveys from Peach Jam and I’ll come back Monday with expert analysis on my Kentucky Basketball Recruiting Notes (which you will read).

Overall, Boston is an intriguing prospect who I’m sure Kentucky would love to have. Plus, I’m hearing whispers around campus that the five-star wing hopes to team up with both Josh Christopher and Jalen Green next season. Look out guys, Kentucky is shaping up for another monster recruiting haul, and Boston, who is currently on campus, may wind up a member.
