Zion Williamson is still terrorizing basketball rims everywhere he goes. The Kentucky Basketball recruit would change everything for the Wildcats.

Everyone who gets on any social media platform knows who Zion Williamson is. The unique name comes with a super unique game. Williamson is the top ranked recruit in the country for the class of 2018. He is also atop the recruiting boards for every major school in the country. That includes John Calipari and the Kentucky Basketball program.

Williamson made waves by claiming that he would love to play college basketball with five star point guard Immanuel Quickley. As most of you know, Quickley is a huge target for Kentucky as well. Also, many including myself see Quickley as the first player to make his pledge to the Wildcats.

If the package deal is a real, then a Zion Williamson commitment would mean that the circus will be headed to Lexington, Kentucky. Plus, He would be added to anyone remaining from the current recruiting class.

Come one, come all

There just isn’t any other platform in college basketball quite like Kentucky. Zion Williamson brings a great deal of anticipation and excitement into every single gym that he walks into. He’s the real deal. You can watch all the YouTube and Overtime videos in the world and nothing would compare to the attention he would get at Kentucky.

Big Blue fans would literally idolize him. At Kentucky, he would be the guy that would posterizing teams into submission. If he wants to get the best shot to showcase his other skills besides ripping the rim down, Kentucky would be the place to do it. And, with a point guard like Quickley distributing him the ball, he would get plenty of opportunities.

Additionally, Williamson could be added to an already loaded Kentucky Basketball roster for 2018. The current team and 2017 recruiting class is loaded down with talent. It would be impossible for all of them to make the leap to the NBA in good consciousness. The opportunity to assemble a great team with Quickley and Williamson together with guys like Jemarl Baker, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would result in a ton of scoring and a lot of highlights.

To predict the names who will be ready to enter the NBA draft in 2018 would be impossible at this point. But, it’s always fun to speculate. I would venture to say that PJ Washington, Hamidou Diallo, Kevin Knox, and Nick Richards are the favorites to take the jump. In addition to those guys, Jarred Vanderbilt could have a say in things as well. If any of those guys choose to return for a sophomore season, watch out college basketball, Kentucky is at it again. A Final Four is everything but guaranteed.
