John Calipari can’t be the head coach of Kentucky Basketball forever. Which current college/NBA coaches would be able to succeed in place of Calipari’s Legacy?

In light of a video from LEX18’s “Hey Kentucky“, Alan Cutler posed the question as to who would fans be alright with to one day replace John Calipari as the head coach of Kentucky Basketball.

After listening to Mary Jo and Cutler talk about their picks as to who might be able to replace Calipari at Kentucky, some other names came to mind. To be clear, there aren’t any rumors flying around just yet about Calipari jumping ship. The reality if the situation is clear. John Calipari will one day, step down as Kentucky Basketball’s Head Coach. With much sadness, Kentucky fans will have to move on from the Swaggy Cal days and onto a new leader.

The Prospects

Some of the top coaching names around the College and NBA game would most certainly be called if/when Kentucky needs a new coach. The fact of the matter is, whoever it may be, needs to be able to recruit, handle pressure, have a personality and develop big name players. Those are the four topics of discussion that was put into the decision to throw together five current coaches that would be able to take and succeed the head coaching job at Kentucky.

P.S: Coach Cal, please never leave. Please.
