As yet another Kentucky Basketball season has come to an end, it’s time to bid farewell to a number of players, some freshman, some seniors.

Under John Calapari’s system, saying goodbye has become common, but having three seniors who have given so much to the Kentucky Basketball program has become a rarity.

From Darius Miller to Jorts to Jarrod Polson, seniors have a way of captivating the hearts and souls of Big Blue Nation. This year, we have three seniors leaving the program and starting a new chapter in their lives in Dominique Hawkins, Derek Willis, and Mychal Mulder.

These three seniors have displayed what it means to be a Wildcat and what it means to be apart of something bigger than themselves. They didn’t just come in at the end of the game when we were up 30, but through hard work and patience, they became integral parts of the Cats’ Elite 8 run this season.

With two Kentucky-natives in Dominique and Derek, as well as a junior college transfer in Mychal Mulder, the experience and leadership exemplified this season was irreplaceable. After the loss yesterday, the sorrowful looks on the three seniors’ face was an image that portrays how much this program means to all of them.
