After tonight, it’s even more obvious that the Washington Wizards are in dyer need of John Wall’s hand to get better. The Atlanta Hawks tied the series 2-2 in Washington D.C. Monday night by slightly edging the Wizards at the end of the game.

Recently, I wrote a post that emphasized the importance of John Wall and him being a vital part of the Washington Wizards, something the Wizards are going to have to learn to play without until he’s healthy again.

They were one of the leagues worst teams and didn’t have any sign of improvement, even with the addition of John Wall. Even over his first few seasons with the Wizards, nothing really came together for them until the 13-14 season and now the 14-15 season. Having John Wall running the ball with a strong team around him, like former Florida stand out Bradley Beal, they’re heading into the second round of the NBA Playoffs for the second year in a row, something they hadn’t done in quite some time. His first few years with the Wizards may have been bleak, but once he had a younger, more athletic and ready to surrounding him, he’s made the Wizards contenders. If the series between the Wizards and the Toronto Raptors are a sign of what’s to come with this years playoffs, the Wizards might as well be handed the trophy. They completely obliterated the Raptors each night during the sweep. Some might argue that Klay Thompson, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are the team to beat, but the Pelicans had them in two straight games, but couldn’t carry it over into the fourth quarter. I think the transformation of John Wall into one of the best point guard and teammates I have ever seen is a deciding factor in how far the Wizards can go.I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I truly believe that John Wall and Bradley Beal are the best back court in the nation."

The series against the Raptors was a sweep for the Wizards, something they aren’t facing with the Hawks and they’re having to do it without one of their best players. It should be interesting to see how this plays out.
