NFL Mocks breaks down Trevathan’s game into pros and cons:

"Pros: Great sideline to sideline speed Very adapt at attacking line of scrimmage and getting tackles for loss Sound blitzer Improving Coverage linebacker Great wrap up tackler Thunderous hits for his size 3 year starter  Makes a ton of splash plays Cons: Can get engulfed by lineman Does not shed blockers well Still needs refinement in coverage Sometimes over pursues Player Comparison:           Lance Briggs Round Projection:               Late 3rd or early 4th round Summary: Danny Trevethan is an overlooked prospect.  Playing on a mediocre team without much help he has had a great career.  He might fall due to the fact he can only play in a 4-3 defense at WLB.  That being said much like Briggs he impacts the game as a tackler, blitzer, and in coverage.  Teams should not sleep on this kid.  Teams like the Colts, Bengals, Browns, Giants, Eagles, Lions, and Saints could use him."
