Danny Trevathan will be one of the lone Wildcats expecting to hear his name called as he looks to live out his dreams of playing football at the highest level, after playing at the highest level of college football, getting All-American honors while playing in the SEC, which has featured the last 6 national champions. He had a chance to declare for the draft his junior year, but chose to come back to UK, knowing his draft stock wouldn’t rise much due to his lack of “NFL-size”, the same attribute that kept former UK linebacker Wesley Woodyard from getting drafted, the same Woodyard who became the special teams captain of the Denver Broncos his rookie year and started several games at LB for the team this past season. Danny has all of the tools to have a similar career, regardless of where he is drafted this week.
