Kentucky Solidified as Powerhouse

The world of college basketball watched as the Wildcats established themselves as the team to beat in college basketball for the time being. Anthony Davis is now a household name as he played hero  by blocking John Henson’s potential game winning shot. The Wildcats have a week off to recoup, and according to John Calipari they need it, and will not play again until Saturday when they travel to Indiana.

Many analysts are already saying that this was the game of the year and they are hoping for a rematch in March. The thought of playing UNC again in March is just fine with me. We will be much better as our freshmen continue to improve while UNC may already be at their ceiling.

Louisville wins a Snoozer against Vandy

The first half score of the Louisville vs. Vanderbilt games was 26-25. They were knotted at 50 at the end of regulation. You read that correctly: 50. Louisville won 62-60 in overtime against a bad Vanderbilt team that relies too much on John Jenkins and nobody else. Louisville will probably be the #4 team in the country today when the polls are released. They are the WORST #4 team in the history of college basketball. The only reason they are sitting this high is Rick Pitino’s refusal to play any teams worth a damn.

Of course Louisville fans are delusional enough to thing that their team is actually good and that they will contend for a Final Four spot. Pay attention idiot Louisville fans: if you struggle to put up 50 points a game, which they have even while playing garbage opponents, you can’t win a championship. I don’t care how good you think your defense is, you aren’t going to hold teams like Kentucky, Syracuse, Ohio State, UNC, UConn, Duke and teams of that caliber to under 60 points. Dream all you like, it ain’t going to happen.

John Wall is the Man

Here is a photo of John Wall and  Boogie taking in the UK vs. UNC match up. How many NBA millionaires do you know that are cool enough to wear glasses like this to a game? God Bless You John Wall.

Wildcat Women route the Dirty Birds

Kentucky basketball is 1-0 so far this season when facing the Cardinals. The #12 undefeated Cats defeated the #10 Lady Birds 74-54. I hope Louisville’s men were watching.

The Big East Dominates the SEC/Big East Challenge

It’s heart breaking but it’s true. The Big East crushed the SEC by going 8-4. The only four SEC teams to win their games were Kentucky, Mississippi State, LSU and Ole Miss. Cardinal fans took to Twitter to brag about it. See you December 31st.

Major Bowls Announced

Yes, the BCS Bowls have been announced and #1 LSU will again face #2 Alabama in the New Orleans for the National title game. I was all for this until I saw Oklahoma State blow up Oklahoma 44-10 and made their case. I think LSU would beat the Cowboys handily, but they deserve their shot.

Now it is set up to where the SEC will claim their sixth BCS National Championship in a row no matter what. And next year UK will make it seven in a row. Why are you laughing at me?

Here are the Major Bowl Match Ups:

BCS National Championship Game (BCS): January 9th, #1 LSU vs. #2 Alabama

Orange Bowl (BCS): January 4th, #15 Clemson vs. #23 West Virginia (Not Louisville)

Cotton Bowl: January 6th, #6 Arkansas vs. #8 Kansas State

Sugar Bowl (BCS): January 3rd, #11 Virginia Tech vs. #13 Michigan

Fiesta Bowl (BCS): January 2nd,  #3 Oklahoma State vs. #4 Stanford

Rose Bowl (BCS): January 2nd #5 Oregon vs. #10 Wisconsin

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: December 17th, Utah State vs. Ohio

That’s all from me for now. See you at 4 PM with some fresh highlights.
