Kentucky basketball: 3 keys vs West Virginia, prediction, game info

2. Small ball
The Mountaineers are a guard dominant team, so expect to see UK go small throughout the majority of the contest. I’d be surprised to see more than 20 minutes combined for Sacha Killeya-Jones and Nick Richards. These young centers, while talented, can easily become a liability against the smaller, quicker West Virginia players.
Look for the Kentucky basketball team to use a combination of Quade Green, Hamidou Diallo and Gilgeous-Alexander at the guard spots. Jarred Vanderbilt, PJ Washington, Kevin Knox and Wenyen Gabriel will rotate and occupy the low block. This rotation of 7 players must have results in order for the Cats to pull the upset.
