2. PJ and Knox low stack play

Hopefully all of BBN has come to appreciate the low-stack play that Calipari uses for PJ Washington and Kevin Knox. The pair start on the low block and PJ sets a rub screen for Knox going across the paint. If Knox is open, he typically gets the ball in the paint and goes to score. If PJ’s defender helps on the screen, the pass goes to Washington on the block.

The UK basketball faithful and Coach Cal both know that Washington is very, very tough to stop on the low block. This is a terrific X’s and O’s decision by Calipari. If PJ’s defender doesn’t help on the screen, Knox should score. If PJ’s man does help, PJ should score. I absolutely love this play from Calipari.
