This shifty left-handed guard may have had one of the greatest runs of any Kentucky player. While at Kentucky, Turner was a two-year starter who played in three Final Fours and three NCAA Championships. He played a major role during the 1997 and 1998 tournament runs. He was an NCAA All-regional team selection in 1997, NCAA Regional MVP and SEC Tournament MVP in 1998, and was a highly decorated performer during the 1997-98 and 1998-99 SEC tournaments. His career stats included 7.7 PPG and 3.2 APG.

Turner averaged 10.5 points in his senior season in 1999. After a career at Kentucky, Turner had a short stint with the Boston Celtics of the NBA.

Wayne Turner is currently the Director of Player Development for the Louisville Cardinals basketball team under Former Kentucky head coach, Rick Pitino.
