After transferring from Missouri, Travis Ford was a two-year starter at Kentucky. Travis Ford finished with a great career at Kentucky. The Madisonville North-Hopkins alumni was the NCAA Regional Most Outstanding Player in 1993. Also, in the same year, Ford was awarded the SEC Tournament MVP as well as a spot on the SEC first team.

In 1994, Ford capped off a senior season with a second team All-SEC selection, as well as his second consecutive SEC Tournament MVP Award.

His career stats included 9.5 PPG and 4.2 APG. He also appeared in the movie, The Sixth Man, which was clearly overlooked at all the major movie award ceremonies. Given his size, he used every bit of his talent to help manufacture several wins, while at Kentucky most notably the Mardi Gras Miracle in 1994.

Ford went on to begin a successful coaching career at a number of division one schools. The former Kentucky Wildcat has experienced stints at Eastern Kentucky University (2000-2005), Massachusetts (2005-2008), Oklahoma State (2008-2016), and is the current head coach of the Saint Louis Billikens of the Atlantic-10 conference.
