It’s bowl game or bust for the Kentucky football program in 2016. The question is: which six outings are genuine must-win games?

For Kentucky football, the 2016 college football season will be the biggest in recent memory. Head coach Mark Stoops is entering his fourth season at the helm, meaning his hot seat is as warm as it’s ever been.

With the Kentucky Wildcats in dire need of an elusive bowl game appearance, one can’t help but evaluate the schedule and find must-win games.

Kentucky needs at least six wins in order to qualify for a bowl game. There’s no guaranteeing that the Wildcats will win six games in 2016, but following back-to-back 5-7 seasons, it’s a fair expectation.

The question is: which six games are the most important for the Wildcats to win?

Reaching five wins relatively early in the season would give Kentucky a chance to pull out a surprise victory and reach six. The goal should be set higher, however, even if six wins would be satisfactory.

In order to play in a bowl game for the first time since 2010, these games must be won.
