Kentucky football has been the laughing stock of the SEC for far too long. It’s been six years since the team last made a bowl game, which has head coach Mark Stoops on the hot seat.

The hope in Lexington is that improved quarterback play will result in Kentucky getting over the hump in 2016.

Kentucky finished the 2015 season with one of the least efficient offenses in the SEC. It ranked No. 11 in both total yards accumulated and total points put on the board—an easy way to finish below .500.

Fresh off of back-to-back 5-7 seasons, the Wildcats are trusting their playmakers to turn things around in 2016.

In some instances, the players who will shine for Kentucky have showed glimpses of greatness in the past. In others, they’re players who are being thrust into a role of extreme responsibility—one they’ve never encountered before.

With the 2016 season on the horizon, expect these Kentucky football standouts to anchor the offensive attack.
