Last night was the last chance to see next years Kentucky Wildcats in action before next season. Although we are use to seeing more players already signed by Coach Cal, the players who have already pledged did not disappoint.

More from Kentucky Wildcats News

Skal Labissiere continued to prove why he is the likely number one overall pick in the 2016 draft. His ability to knock down shots from deep with such high arc make him so hard to stop. Charles Matthews, although slightly injured showed signs of unselfishness with some willing passes which are typically unexpected in an all star game. Isaiah Briscoe did not win the MVP, but he won the crowd with his ability to take his defender in the isolation.

"For Briscoe, the outpouring of support was a welcome fuel, if relatively unsurprising. “It was time to stop playing, to go out there and try to score,” Briscoe said of the latter stages of the second half. “I’m kind of used to big gyms being filled up and the crowd going crazy. I feed off that energy. It’s something I’m used to."

Speaking of future Kentucky Wildcats, Calipari needs more of them… and more he shall get. Yesterday John Calipari took his talents to North Carolina for an in home visit with Small Forward Brandon Ingram. While it will be very hard for Coach Cal to lure him away from his home state, history has proven to never doubt Calipari on the recruiting trail.

"Duke is the presumed leader in Ingram’s recruitment, though he does have interest in the Cats. He would make a lovely addition to Calipari’s roster if he were to make his way to Lexington next season. Ingram will meet with coaches from Kansas tomorrow and then North Carolina on Wednesday."

It did not take long for the Willie Cauley-Stein to find a home. The news came yesterday that Cauley-Stein will in fact join James Young in his new family Roc Nation. The agency run by Hip Hop Icon Jay-Z has picked up a lot of big names in all of sports in just a few years. Jay-Z is hoping the future top ten pick will be his next huge success.
