Kentucky Wildcats Football: The Stage is Set

The stage is set for the Kentucky Wildcats as they prepare to welcome the Big Blue Nation to Commonwealth Stadium for the first football game of the season.

The Kentucky Wildcats take on the Skywalks of UT Martin at noon EST on the new and beloved SEC Network.

There is a positive feeling that is filling up the streets of Lexington with smiles and excitement as fans are even closer to finding out what their 2014 Kentucky Wildcats Football team is going to be. Not only that, they’re excited to see the incoming recruits that chose Kentucky over upper tier universities. Really showing that the Wildcats are now in the run for top recruits in the short time that the new coaching staff have been in Lexington.

It’s been less than two years since Mark Stoops took over as head coach of the Wildcats and top players across the country are hearing from the Wildcats. This time the recruits can take the scholarship offers seriously and not mimic the Wildcats for coming after them. The Wildcats have been in recruitment competition with the Florida Gators and Alabama Crimson Tide recently, something that didn’t happen before Stoops and Company made their way to the great state of Kentucky.

It’s quite amazing to see how fast the face of the game is changing for the Kentucky Wildcats. The excitement is there from fans, coaches and players. People truly believe that the Wildcats will soon become a top tier school for football. Sure, they won’t be historical like LSU, USC or Alabama, but that doesn’t mean they can’t write their own history book.

The stage is set for the Wildcats to begin writing their own chapter in NCAA Football history and Kentucky Football history. In a few days the Wildcats are being given the opportunity to show how much they’ve improved and what they’re made of. It should be an awesome site to see over the next few years.
