Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Recruiting: UK Recruits on ESPNU Tonight

Tonight, multiple basketball recruiting targets for the University of Kentucky will be on display.  Along with several other high school stars, six UK prospects will be showcased in the Adidas Nations finals on ESPNU.

Two of the UK targets come from the Class of 2015.  Those being Jaylen Brown and Derrick Jones.  Brown is a 6’7″ small forward from Alpharetta, Georgia.  He is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit.  He is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 1 small forward and as the No. 8 overall player in the Class of 2015.  Jones is a 6’6″ small forward from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit.  He is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 4 small forward and as the No. 27 overall player in the Class of 2015.

Brown and Jones will lead Team Howard against Team Europe in the third-place game of the Adidas Nations finals at 7 p.m. ET.  Both of them have scholarship offers from UK.

The other four UK targets come from the Class of 2016.  Those being Kobi Simmons, Rawle Alkins, Thon Maker, and Eron Gordon.  Simmons is a 6’5″ point guard from Alpharetta, Georgia.  He is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit.  He is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 5 point guard and as the No. 29 overall player in the Class of 2015.  Alkins is a 6’4″ small forward from Brooklyn, New York.  He is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit.  He is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 10 small forward and as the No. 45 overall player in the Class of 2016.  Maker is a 7’0″ center from Martinsville, Virginia.  He is rated by ESPN as a five-star recruit.  He is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 1 center and as the No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2016.  Gordon is a 6’3″ point guard from Indianapolis, Indiana.  He is rated by ESPN as a four-star recruit.  He is also ranked by ESPN as the No. 15 point guard in the Class of 2016.

Simmons and Alkins will play on Team Wall, while Maker and Gordon will play on Team Lillard.  They will square off in the Adidas Nations championship at 9 p.m. ET.  Maker already has a scholarship offer from UK.
